A weekend full of events. My first weekend back after surgery and my granddaughter's first prom. It was a also a full moon weekend...I have to say, I was a wee bit nervous about returning to work on a weekend. But it was the best weekend ever. It was good to be back with the children and families looking for help with their troubles and I did get to meet them all. I was blessedly given the job of triage. It is where you meet the patient and families as they first come to the E.R. You take the history and story of the reason of their visit. You begin the first steps of searching of cause and healing of the disease or injury. We did have several patients, but not enough that I couldn't catch-up with my friends at work.
Saturday evening, I did drive home to be able to see my granddaughter's first big event of that exciting first Prom. My other daughter, Kristin along with her mother Rebecca helped with the fun event of getting ready for the big evening. These pictures are from Kristin's camera. My arrival from work allow me to be in time for a dinner at Ludlow's with Rebecca, Kristin and other granddaughter Madalyn. Joella was off for her dinner with her date for the evening. Of course, her family was not allow to go to that restaurant! My daughters filled me in on what I missed while enjoying our meal.
So many sparkles. I do not believe, I have never stitched that many on any of my projects. Have you?! I do love what it added to her beautiful dress. Joella you looked beautiful! Your choices of accessories were perfect!
Terry and I then went to the school to watch the promenade. We gathered along the roped gates to anxiously await to see each couple walk out of the building to go into prom. It looked as if most of the Wayne County was there to see all the beautiful dresses and tuxedos of their loved children and grandchildren. There were so many beautiful fun couples to see. I was a school nurse for these couples when they were in kindergarten. It was fun trying to remember all their names. How quickly everyone grows to adulthood. All and all a great weekend of experiencing the firsts. I am thankful to be a part of it all. Today I will rest. Maybe get caught up on some laundry and just enjoy a restful day.
