It was a day that did show beautiful sunshine! A day for a first egg hunt with a great granddaughter. An Elmo Easter basket to nestle the found eggs. Elmo is one of her favorite characters. Hmmm... she calls me Elmo. That early am, she was sitting on my lap as I was finishing up one last prize for the hunt. It was the final stitches on the Crazy Quilt pillow. I was explaining about stitching to her... and I asked her if she stitch? Little Laura said, "I color."
The beginning of the egg hunt across the acres started with a few less members this year, but still had anxiously waiting members to see who would be the winner.Being a later time in April this year did give more growth to the grass and wildflowers of the timber to hide the eggs. Even though we used less camouflage colored ones this year... a few were left hidden in the woods to find next year.
The grand prize winners found a tie with Joella and Kealah!
First time for the granddaughters and very happy to say they won.
Thanks family for another wonderful Easter Celebration

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am enjoying THE BIRD SISTERS so far ... the author has a page on Facebook - she seems lovely.
