Spring Time

Last weekend the 14Th, for my birthday, my sister Brenda got me a Train ticket to Chicago. Destination to see my son and dear DIL. What fun to begin the spring season! I went to Peoria to see my Mother as her birthday joins my birthday week. But on the next day on my arrival Brenda and I woke to the Spring forward on our clocks to catch a train to Chicago Union Station. Stephen picked us up there and took us to his apartment, where they served delicious
hors d'oeuvres and gave us a whirlwind quick tour of their city life. I enjoyed it immensely!!:}
It always does your heart wonders to be with family and to finally see where your son & daughter's home. It was a very charming home over looking the streets of downtown Chicago.
Maybe I can share more pics and fun later...
I was very excited when I came home to learn that the vultures have returned. To me that is indeed a sound and sight of Spring. They never truly come unless warm weather is definitely here. Also the sun was warmer and I hear frogs chirp at the pond along with the many birds singing. Have the goldfinch changed their color to yellow yet? Still watching for that sign along with the return of the hummingbirds! My sister Barb in southern Indiana will report to me when they show up there. Anxiously waiting....

Happy belated birthday! It sounds as if you had a great time. I've never been to Chicago but hope to make it there sometime. I want to see more pics.

It does seem as if spring really has arrived-----finally!
