The Celebration

The party was a success.

My Sister in law's lovely home.
The Celebration was great fun and meant very much to Mom Marie.
All her family were there and many of friends. Oh, what a cold evening. But that, did not stop anyone from venturing to this party! Susan prepared a bus to pick up her friends at their building. Many did drive, but it was a treat for several to ride together to the event!
All my family was there with the exception of granddaughter Joella, who was still in Texas with her other grandmother. We missed her... otherwise my family celebrated in full.
The food was catered and delicious and beautifully displayed. {why didn't I get a pic of that?!}
The cake and cupcakes were made by my niece and were a big hit as well.
As a wine glass was tapped by the piano player... Mom made a speech and spoke of how much she was touched by all who came... "Nothing means more to me then my family and all of my dear friends who came to help me celebrate.."...
This song was requested by Mom... It was a favorite of Tommy Dorsey!
Marie the dawn is breaking,
Marie you'll soon be waking to find, your heart is breaking
and tears will fall, as you recall the moon, in all it's splendor,
the kiss, so very tender the words,
"will you surrender" to my Marie.
Happy 8Th decade many more to you.

What a lovely party for a lovely woman! Your SIL's home is beautiful. Glad you could all gather to help her celebrate.
