Tribute to Oda & Roy

Another Easter prize from the egg hunt. The winner of this treasure by me, was my
2ND daughter!!!
I believe she was hoping she would be the one. Miss Maddy, told her what i was working on before the big event.
I find myself working on new projects for the many upcoming events.
Probably won't share at this time.

Wildflowers are up!

Even though the grass is just starting to green in my area...
The wildflowers can be found in the wooded areas behind the cabin.
What joy this brings!

Family Celebrates Springtime

The annual Easter egg hunt. Not found on the White House lawn but in the timber behind our cabin. We have started another fun tradition of hunting for eggs a few years ago. The timber being the most difficult but exhilarating place to discover the hidden treasures.
My DH spends much time the day previous hiding up and down the hills. So you will find him at the starting line-up giving directions for the hunt. On your mark... get set... go! I love to carry the camera and catch photos and look for signs of Spring. But the best part is sharing in the excitement of their search. The eggs are numbered and we do know how many are hidden. When everyone feels as if all have been found, we tally and then return to the cabin. Everyone is a winner as each egg is numbered and prizes correspond to number on the egg found. But...bragging rights belong to the one who finds the most eggs.
Well done hunters! It was the hardest search yet, but you only missed finding three!

Pillow Fun from Egg dyeing

My Miss Maddy had fun helping to create the pillow. She chose the great effiel tower pic we got from The Graphics Fairy. We used some of the fabrics and lace, etc we had fun dyeing on Sat. She happily helped put it together. But the best part for her was on our egg hunting contest, she had the lucky number that belonged to the prize of the very pillow! Last night i had a text asking what was that fabric we printed the photo on? She must of went to bed dreaming of making more pillows.
Maddy it is Printed Treasures...

Egg Dye Fun

Just sharing how the dyeing turn out for us. It was fun and Maddy is ready to buy more egg coloring to dye fun projects.
We had a beautiful day and much joy in being with family. Weather was wonderful.

So thankful it was not like today, which has rain, clouds, and now snowflakes!!
We did make a pillow out of the dyed fabric. I will need to post later as Maddy took the pillow home with her.

Easter Week

Memories of a garden tour at Steam Cliff Farm, Indiana. Where I had a beautiful day with my sisters and mother, last fall.
My reflecting on gardens give me joy. I also know my Lord spent time in a garden. This is the beginning week of remembering his sacrifice.
I find my garden still remains stark, but green is beginning to peek out.
My sister whom resides in the Ozarks had a beautiful bouquet of Spring flowers on her blog. I can see her having joy on that!
She and her husband have spent many hours planting beautiful flowers on their ranch. Love to see more pictures...
Joy to everyone on this week of remembering.
