Florida Gift

Well, i finally finished the gift.
It was only one week, late of my deadline of
son's anniversary. It has already arrived to it's Florida destination.
It was fun to make. i enjoyed putting all the secret messages to them on the quilt as well.

Ya-yas are back.
They had much fun together. They stopped to visit their grandmother on returned home.
Mother then decided to come for a visit.
Mom and i took in some local sights on Monday.
This is called the Little Church on the Vale.
This was a home of a past Baptist Church. Now is a roadsite stop to weary travelers.
The sky was wonderfully blue isn't it?

Daughters of Ya-Ya Cousins

The Ya- Yas are off enjoying the fun and i am enjoying my daughter's 2 girls.
here at the cabin.
Heat index today was 106 degrees. So the granddaughters and i did an indoor project.
This is their version of comfort dolls. They want to place them at their pillows at night, as they are filled with herbs for healing and calming.
They have great ideas to share and always fun to see things through a childs eyes! What joy.

Ya-Ya Cousinhood

I have 3 sisters and together we have 4 daughters and once a year, they meet and travel the U.S. Their goal is to visit all the 50 states and stop at anything than catches their eye.
They have lots of fun and laughter together. The sisters meet in the fall and they always try to outdo us in some way. Really, we are just happy, they enjoy each other. they keep in such good contact, even though they live many miles from each other. Actually we have 7 daughters between the 4 sisters and 1 brother. But the others were still in grade school and not able to party and drive.
Anyway, i make some of my artwork. Whatever moves me to create for them. Some treasure to remember the annual event. The pic is of this year's momento. This year's theme is, by the sea...4 crowns decked out in mermaids and necklaces made from things of the sea.
Have fun ladies!!!

Upon returning from errands today, I came upon this challenge on my porch. What could they be saying to each other?!
They both showed me their stingers. They walked around each other and then flew off together. Wish I had a video of the whole game, they played!
Nature never ceases to amaze and give me gifts.
