Why do sunflowers always face the East? Anyone know?
During the Victorian age, when flowers spoke meetings... if you received a sunflower from a friend it meant, you were thought of with disdain.
But it is such a happy sunny looking flower!
Our crazy quilts all had secret meanings. I would hope, none of these flowers was found on my quilt.
Cindy Brick has a lovely book call the "Language of Flowers". It is very helpful when creating our stitches that become flowers. Why is it in this day and age we have seemed to have lost the meanings of these wonderful gifts if nature,?/
